Taurus TX22 Centaur Chassis Kit (OPTIC CUT REQUIRED)

The Centaur Chassis is a Taurus TX22 chassis kit for the full-size TX22 Gen 2 T.O.R.O., printed in-house by Cicada Research from black PETG-CF. It adds a rear 1913 rail, a top Picatinny optic rail, and smaller accessory rails on the bottom and both sides, with a quick-release chassis interface for tool-free attachment and removal.

This is the extended Centaur configuration specifically sized to accommodate the Cicada Research Tombstone rate reducer. It also works with the factory backplate. The $99 base kit includes the Centaur Chassis, Not-A-VFG spare magazine holder, ambidextrous charging handle, and required mounting hardware.

Compatibility: Full-size TX22 Gen 2 T.O.R.O. only. The included charging handle requires the T.O.R.O. optic cut and occupies the slide's optic mounting position. A slide-mounted optic cannot remain installed; use the chassis's top Picatinny rail with a compatible optic mount instead.

TX22 1913 Rail and Picatinny Accessory Mounting

The Centaur gives your TX22 accessory mounting points at the rear, top, bottom, and both sides:

• Rear 1913 Picatinny rail: An attachment point for a compatible 1913 brace or other compatible accessory. A brace is not included.
• Top Picatinny rail: Provides a chassis-mounted location for an optic with a compatible Picatinny mount.
• Bottom, left, and right Picatinny rails: Smaller mounting sections for compatible accessories, including the supplied Not-A-VFG spare magazine holder.

Extended Centaur Chassis and Tombstone Rate Reducer Compatibility

This extended version of the Centaur Chassis was specifically sized around the Cicada Research Tombstone TX22 rate reducer.

Internal clearance is limited. Compatibility with other rate reducers or extended backplates is not guaranteed. A different rate reducer or backplate may interfere with the chassis even if it fits the pistol itself.

The Tombstone rate reducer is an optional purchase. You can use the Centaur with the factory TX22 backplate, so a rate reducer is not required to use the kit.

What's Included in the Centaur TX22 Chassis Kit?

• One extended Centaur Chassis with chassis rail clip (the two essential components)
• One Not-A-VFG spare magazine holder
• One ambidextrous charging handle to attach to the optic cut
• Two M4×10 screws for the charging handle

All required mounting hardware for the base kit is included. The kit arrives ready for assembly, rather than fully assembled.

Not included in the base kit: Firearm, brace, optic, magazines, flash hider, Tombstone rate reducer, or Fang FRT.

Quick-Release Chassis and Charging Handle

The Centaur uses a quick-release interface for tool-free chassis attachment and removal. The chassis rail clip fits to the pistol's bottom accessory rail before the pistol slides into the chassis. If you are using the Not-A-VFG holder, it must be fitted before sliding the pistol into the chassis.

The included ambidextrous charging handle attaches at the T.O.R.O. optic cut using the two supplied M4×10 screws. Tool-free attachment and removal refers to the chassis interface; initial charging-handle installation uses the supplied screws.

Not-A-VFG Spare Magazine Holder

The included Not-A-VFG holder accommodates TX22 magazines and keeps a spare magazine on the chassis.

Heavy drum magazine limitation: A heavy drum magazine may fall out of the holder when fully loaded. Secure retention of fully loaded heavy drums is not guaranteed.

PETG-CF Construction and Cosmetic Finish

Each chassis is 3D printed in-house by Cicada Research using PETG-CF, a carbon-fiber-filled PETG material. Black is the only available color.

Small cosmetic imperfections may be present. Visible layer lines, seam marks, minor surface variations, and differences in texture are normal characteristics of 3D printing. Appearance can vary between individual parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it fit the TX22 Compact, Competition, or original Gen 1?

This kit is offered for the full-size TX22 Gen 2 T.O.R.O. only. Fitment on other TX22 models has not been confirmed, and the supplied charging handle requires the T.O.R.O. optic cut.

Can I keep my slide-mounted red dot?

No. The included charging handle uses the slide's optic mounting position. The chassis provides a top Picatinny rail for an optic with a compatible rail mount.

Do I need the Tombstone rate reducer to use the Centaur?

No. The chassis works with the factory backplate. If you want to add a rate reducer, this extended version is specifically sized for the Cicada Research Tombstone rate reducer. Other rate reducers are not guaranteed to fit.

Is a brace included with the TX22 1913 rail?

No. The rear 1913 rail is part of the chassis, but a brace must be purchased separately. The base kit includes only the components listed in the package contents above.
