Introducing the "Tombstone" TX22 1.3oz Threaded Weighted Backplate and Rate Reducer

Designed to add weight to your TX22 for reduced fire rate and increased weight to help cycle when running suppressors, certain ammunition, without optics... Any reason really. This over all increases reliability of the platform, especially in forced reset mode. 

CNC machined from steel this weighted backplate/rate reducer comes in at 1.3oz, which we chose to cover the widest range of use cases. You may have seen companies with 2oz or more weighted backplates/rate reducers. We found in testing that if you add too much weight, you run into issues. 1.3oz should cover the widest range of use cases, only having (potential) issues with the extremely light competition model. It is recommended to also get a heavier recoil spring if you are running a competition model TX22. 

We took this a step further and instead of simply cold black oxiding this part in our garage, we send it off to get nitrided for an extremely hard, durable finish. This is a premium product, designed to last the life of the gun. This hard coating (technically not a coating) is rust proof, scratch resistant, and hardens the steel in the process. It is likely that your slide and barrel are nitrided as well, it is the industry standard. 

We also have threaded the hole on the back for an M4 thread to make this backplate/rate reducer do double duty. Model and 3d print your own charging handle attachments or purchase one of our MJF printed charging handles separately. This also leaves the option to add weights in the future, but we do not have that in the pipeline currently.
